Hi, I’m Courtney!

Hi, my name is Courtney, and I’d like to welcome you to my site. Thanks for stopping by! I was born and raised in the state of North Carolina. As the oldest of six children and oldest one of twenty grandkids, my entire childhood was filled with a lively home life and family gatherings. I had no future family size in mind, but I did know that I wanted to be a wife and mother someday.

In June 2007, I met my husband, Christopher, for the first time at a church camp in Georgia. We conversed a few times that week, and on July 4th, he called my dad to ask permission to write me. Ours was a long distance relationship with him living in Georgia, but we were able to make it work with letters, phone calls, and occasional visits. He asked me to marry him in April 2008, and we tied the knot six months later in October. We set up house in Georgia and were both thrilled to get a positive pregnancy test just weeks later. Unfortunately, the pregnancy ended in an early loss. I was upset and hoped that if and when we got pregnant again that I would be able to carry it to term. God was gracious and our oldest child was born in March 2010. He was an easy baby and gave us the confidence we needed to start our parenting journey. In November of that year, we found out that our second child was on his way. Thirteen months after his birth our third child was born. The babies were coming closer together and when our third child was just 3 months old we discovered I was pregnant again. I was slightly embarrassed wondering what people would think, but I overcame those thoughts when I chose to be thankful for healthy babies and pregnancies. It was nothing to be ashamed of. It’s now nearly twelve years after our wedding day, and I’m currently expecting our eleventh child. The last several years have been filled with babies (a set of twins included), a move to the state of New Mexico, the start of our mini farm, and six years worth of homeschooling.  My hope for this site is to encourage mothers, share large family tips, and give the world a peek into my blessed and chaotic life.
